99.5 WYCD is celebrating the station’s 16th birthday with a really BIG Sweet 16 Birthday Bash featuring country duo Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy and special guest Craig Morgan at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Saturday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets at $43.50 pavilion and $21 lawn are on sale now at Palacenet.com, The Palace Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. Special lawn ticket four-packs at $60 are also available

99.5 WYCD signed on as Young Country/WYCD in 1993 and has since continued to dominate country radio in Detroit. As Detroit's #1 for Country, 99.5 WYCD produces the annual Downtown Hoedown, the world's largest free country music concert.

The multi-platinum, award winning duo of Big & Rich – featuring Big Kenny and John Rich – are known for their mixing of traditional country sounds with hip-hop, rock, and the occasional Native American yell. Their single “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy” has become a party anthem.

John Rich, a Texas Native and one-half of the duo, recently endeared himself to Detroit with his hit single “Shutting Detroit Down” from his brand new solo album Son of a Preacher Man. Rich is also the host of the smash hit series Gone Country on CMT and will be a judge this season on Nashville Star.

Opening the Sweet 16 Birthday Bash will be Craig Morgan, one of country music’s most beloved performers. Known for his many number one hits including “Redneck Yacht Club,” “Little Bit of Life,” “That’s What I Love About Sundays” and others, Morgan spent 10 years on active duty in the military and regularly goes over seas to perform USO Shows.
