Rock legend John Fogerty will perform at Meadow Brook Music Festival on Friday, May 29 at 8 p.m.

Tickets at $65 and $45 pavilion and $15 lawn go on sale this Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at Palacenet.com, The Palace Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. Special lawn ticket four-packs at $44 are also available.

John Fogerty achieved fame as the lead singer/songwriter and guitarist in Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) and has since gone on to a chart-topping solo career. CCR released nine Top 10 singles, all written by Fogerty, between 1969 and 1971, starting with the standard “Proud Mary.” They also scored eight gold albums between 1968 and 1972, which included such CCR classics as “Fortunate Son,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Down on the Corner,” “Travelin’ Band,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?”

His solo career highlights include the 1980s hits “Centerfield,” “The Old Man Down the Road” and “Rock and Roll Girls.” His 1997 release, Blue Moon Swamp, which was an album released after an 11-year hiatus, earned him a Grammy award for Best Rock Album. His latest release, Revival (2007), peaked at number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.
