TNA Wrestling Presents 'Slammiversary'

Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling presents “Slammiversary 2009,” a live pay-per-view event which will be held at The Palace on Sunday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets at $75, $45, $25 and $7 reserved go on sale this Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at Palacenet.com, The Palace Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. Special Ringside and Superfan seating is also available.

“Slammiversary 2009” will mark the seventh anniversary of TNA Wrestling and TNA’s return to the Detroit area for the first time since “Bound For Glory 2006,” which was the first time TNA held a pay-per-view event outside of the “iMPACT! Zone” in Orlando, Florida.

“Fans in Detroit have long supported TNA Wrestling, so returning to a city for the first time ever for a second pay-per-view event was an easy decision,” said TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter. “June is, arguably, the biggest month for sports in Detroit, thanks to the Red Wings and their loyal legion of fans. We’re quite confident that Detroit fans will flock to The Palace for ‘Slammiversary 2009,’ which promises to deliver a slapshot worth of excitement in each and every match.”

The stars of TNA iMPACT! (Thursdays, 9 p.m. ET/PT, Spike TV) will headline “Slammiversary 2009,” such as Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Mick Foley, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, “The Icon” Sting, Detroit native Kevin Nash, University of Michigan alum Scott Steiner, Booker T, TNA World Tag Team Champions Team 3D, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles and many more.
