LaserSpectacular, the smash hit multi-media laser and light show featuring the music of Pink Floyd illuminates DTE Energy Music Theatre for the sixth consecutive summer on Saturday, July 11 at 8 p.m.

Tickets at $20 pavilion and $10 lawn are on sale now at Palacenet.com, The Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre Box Offices and all Ticketmaster locations.

After touring for 24 years and since first performing at DTE Energy Music Theatre in 2004, Paramount’s LaserSpectacular has become a cult classic, presenting the music of Pink Floyd like never before. Surrounded by 10,000 watts of concert quality sound, Pink Floyd’s musical legacy continues as the band’s concept music captures the imagination and carries listeners away on a mind-expanding journey as the senses are confronted with an array of glowing visual displays choreographed to the soundtrack during the two hour and 20 minute show.

Through the use of jaw-dropping new technologies a visual evolution unfolds as solid lines of light of light wash the pavilion with color, animated neon figures are set in motion, a giant a giant inflatable comes to life and laser beams bounce and glide through the open air, crafting images, such as a soaring eagle that flies over the crowd.

During the song “Learning To Fly,” a psychedelic, rotating light with images of the history of flight, from the Wright Brothers all the way to the Space Shuttle will be displayed. During “Comfortably Numb” 3-D animation reveals the song’s storyline of a rock star struggling to “make it to the show.” Brand new 3-D imagery used in the show actually has dimension and can be seen from all sides. Laserists pull out all the stops and bombard the audience with every thing in their bag of visual tricks for the shows finale, “Run Like Hell.” Special prism glasses multiply the fun, making one image become six. Three 30-foot screens wall the experience.

The LaserSpectacular is not only the longest touring laser show, but the longest touring theater show in history. Each year the show is updated and changed so audiences will never see the same show twice.

LaserSpectacular featuring the music of Pink Floyd is part of the Belle Tire Concert Series.
