“20/20/20” Giveaway Winner

DTE Energy Music Theatre’s “20/20/20” major prize giveaway sponsored by PNC, proved to be a big success, providing momentum for the opening of the venue’s 20th concert season under ownership of Palace Sports & Entertainment, increasing traffic to its Palacenet.com website, and creating goodwill for the contest entrants, especially the 20 lucky daily prize winners.

The promotion began on Monday, May 3 and each day through May 22, eligible entrants could enter online at Palacenet.com to win a different prize each day. On May 23, the 20th day of the giveaway, a $20,000 grand prize winner was chosen from all entrants from the previous 19 days.

In total, an ironic number of 20,202 entries were tallied over the course of the “20/20/20”promotion. The winner of the $20,000 grand prize was Ann Kovl of Metamora, Michigan. She was surprised by a giant check presentation from Hooper, Automotion and other Palace personalities at her job at Troy Beaumont Hospital on June 1, 2010.

Additional specials, promotions, discounts and giveaways will continue throughout DTE Energy Music Theatre’s 20th anniversary summer concert season and will be announced when details are set.

Palace Sports & Entertainment (PS&E) ownership includes The Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre, as well as the management of Meadow Brook Music Festival on the campus of Oakland University. Combined, PS&E’s Michigan venues average 300 events and 3.5 million guests annually.
