“THE DAILY SHOW AND FRIENDS” TO PERFORM AT MEADOW BROOK MUSIC FESTIVAL SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 TICKETS ON SALE NOW
“The Daily Show and Friends” featuring Rory Albanese, Rob Riggle, Adam Lowitt and Wyatt Cenac from the popular COMEDY CENTRAL television show will perform at Meadow Brook Music Festival on Saturday, September 25 at 7 p.m. This date was rescheduled from the originally announced August 13 date. Tickets at $29.50 and $19.50 pavilion only are on sale now at Palacenet.com, The Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre Box Offices and all Ticketmaster locations. Special Superfan seating is also available. Tickets for the August 13 date will be honored for the new September 25 date. Tickets may also be charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 1-800-745-3000. “The Daily Show and Friends” features Rory Albanese, Rob Riggle, Adam Lowitt and Wyatt Cenac, stand-up comics that made their names as regular contributors on the popular COMEDY CENTRAL show, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning program that takes a reality-based look at news, trends, pop culture, current events, politics, sports and entertainment with an alternative point of view. Rory Albanese is a four-time Emmy-winning executive producer and writer on The Daily Show. He has been a key part of the show for the last 10 years. Albanese is also an accomplished stand-up comedian. In the summer of 2006, he joined Lewis Black’s “Red, White and Screwed” tour performing with Black all over the country. Albanese has been seen performing with other Daily Show correspondents as well as headlining his own shows. Recently, he taped his first-ever “COMEDY CENTRAL Presents” half-hour stand-up special which will air this year. Rob Riggle is currently shooting The Other Guys opposite Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. He recurs on CBS’s Gary Unmarried, and was a correspondent on The Daily Show, from 2006-2008. Riggle played Officer Franklin in Warner Bros’ summer hit The Hangover, and has also appeared in The Goods: The Don Ready Story, Step Brothers and Talladega Nights. He can next been seen in Killers, Going The Distance and Furry Vengeance. Adam Lowitt is an Emmy award winning supervising producer at The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Aside from producing, Lowitt has discovered his own sense of humor and has broken into stand-up comedy. Wyatt Cenac joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as a correspondent in 2008. The New York City native moved to Los Angeles where he spent three years as a writer for FOX’s animated show King of the Hill, honing his stand-up skills and starring in the film Medicine for Melancholy which was nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards. “The Daily Show and Friends” is part of the Belle Tire Concert Series.
