AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Palace Sports and Entertainment (PS&E) and Luna Entertainment (Luna) have entered into a cooperative agreement regarding Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, MI.  The agreement was announced today by Dennis Mannion, President and CEO of PS&E.  Luna will work with PS&E regarding all booking and marketing for the venue, utilizing PS&E’s experience and national reputation which have made The Palace of Auburn Hills, DTE Energy Music Theatre and Meadow Brook Music Festival among the top facilities in their respective categories.

The agreement provides for PS&E and Luna to be responsible for all aspects of the facility, including event bookings, marketing, season sales, group sales, sponsorships, public relations, staffing, concessions, parking and grounds for the amphitheatre.

“We are pleased to be working with Luna in a way that will expand our entertainment footprint in the region while providing concert patrons with thrilling experiences at Freedom Hill Amphitheatre,” said Mannion. “By implementing our operational execution strategy and utilizing our strong industry relationships, we hope to elevate the Freedom Hill concert experience and provide additional variety to the summer concert schedule.”

PS&E and Luna will provide Macomb County and the entire metro-Detroit area with an improved summer entertainment mix. PS&E will attract and entertain Freedom Hill Amphitheatre concertgoers with the same diverse array of top touring acts they have come to expect when attending shows at other PS&E venues.

Luna has invested more than $2 million in facility improvements since acquiring Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in 2012, including technology and cosmetic improvements, sound system and facility’s lighting system. The venue’s seating capacity is comprised of a covered pavilion with approximately 4,200 fixed seats and lawn seating for approximately 3,000.

PS&E ownership includes The Palace of Auburn Hills and DTE Energy Music Theatre. The organization also manages Meadow Brook Music Festival on the campus of Oakland University. Combined, PS&E’s venues average 200 events and 2.5 million guests annually. The Palace has been voted Arena of the Year eight times by Performance magazine and twice by Pollstar magazine and is listed annually among North America's top-grossing arenas. Voted “Best Outdoor Concert Venue” in Pollstar's 2000 Readers' Poll and listed as the nation's most attended amphitheater by Amusement Business/Billboard for 21 years, DTE Energy Music Theatre was named a finalist for Top Amphitheater at Billboard’s 2015 Touring Awards.
