Palace Sports & Entertainment Brings The Year's Biggest Shows and Festivals for the 2013 Summer Concert SeriesMay 9, 2013
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – From seven sold out Kid Rock shows at DTE Energy Music Theatre to fun. at Meadow Brook Music Festival to Beyoncé at The Palace of Auburn Hills – the 2013 Palace Sports & Entertainment summer concert schedule is packed with an impressive list of acts and events with a few surprises yet to come.
This year’s summer’s calendar will have a few firsts:
- The Michigan Beerfest at DTE, featuring craft beers from across the state and country;
- The Recess! Family Music Festival at Meadow Brook with the biggest family acts; and
- The American debut from Australia, New Zealand and Singapore – “the world's biggest little indie festival” – St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival Detroit in September at Meadow Brook with all your indie music favorites.
Country superstar Tim McGraw opens the DTE Energy Music Theatre schedule May 19 along with, perennial Memorial Day weekend favorite, Eddie Money on May 24. Other schedule highlights include The Dave Matthews Band (July 9/DTE), Wiz Khalifa (July 31/DTE), Black Sabbath (August 6/DTE), Bob Dylan (July 14/DTE), Aretha Franklin (June 22/DTE) and Bon Jovi at Ford Field (July 18).
