Oct 29, 2015

Palace Sports & Entertainment announced today the details of an enhanced partnership with PNC Bank.

PNC Bank will hold the exclusive naming rights to the Courtside Club, Courtside Studio and the weekly Courtside Show, which airs Saturday mornings from 11-12 Noon on Detroit Sports 105.1 FM and is also live streamed on and Comcast’s CN 900 Channel.

“We are pleased to continue our long-standing partnership with PNC Bank and elevate their involvement in new exciting ways,” said Palace Sports & Entertainment President & CEO Dennis Mannion.  “The partnership with PNC gives us an exciting opportunity to thrill fans during events in the Courtside Club and through the weekly Courtside Show.”

The PNC Courtside Club, opened in November 2005, is the premier luxury club at The Palace, offered exclusively to row one courtside members.  Refreshed with new furniture and modern stylings in 2012, the 5,600 square foot space holds 180 guests at over 60 events per year.

The PNC Courtside Studio, located inside the Courtside Club, was created in 2012 as a part of the second phase of a four-year $40 million capital improvement plan implemented by Palace Sports & Entertainment owner Tom Gores.  The studio is home to the weekly Courtside Show and is also the primary location for Pistons press conferences and executive interviews.

“Palace Sports & Entertainment is a first-class brand and a great fit for our organization,” said PNC Regional President Ric DeVore.  “We are expecting great things from the Pistons in the coming years and feel this is the perfect time to ramp up our partnership.”

Also, in partnership with the Pistons’ “Live, Learn & Play” community relations education platform, PNC Bank will provide 500 backpacks to Metro Detroit Public youth and host an early education event each year through their “Grow Up Great” initiative.
